Email vs. Text What is the difference?
My family often confuse the two as being the same task. The simplest, least confusing way that I can define the two is as follows: eMail is done via the internet (can be thought of as sending digital mail or your mailbox on the internet) texting is done from a mobile device through the use of satellites. Please add any input you may have for this topic. Thanks for reading

SMS/TEXTING useful abbreviations
This is the start of something BIG! There are many abbreviations in the texting community. I thought that I would start with about ten for now. Later we can add more to are list, that will give you time to get familiar with using them.
B4N - By for now
IDK - I don't know
B4 - Before
2NITE - Tonight
BRB - Be right back
GGN - Gotta go now
HTH - Hope this helps
JK or J/K - Just kidding
LMAO - Laughing my a** off
NVM - Nevermind
So there it is, use them, try them out. Abbreviations really help cut down on the time it takes to send a message. Good luck & have fun!

SMS vs Texting; what IS the difference?
SMS is the abbreviation for short messaging service. Texting refers to text messaging. These are both the same thing, just two different names for the same action. SMS texting refer to sending and receiving short messages to and from a mobile phone.

The Start of My New Blog Site
I am starting this Blog for my mother AND grandmother; who are still trying to figure out the difference between an email and a text message. So I am dedicating it to them and ALL of the OTHER non-techies who are living amongst this VERY TECHIE world. I can only imagine the frustration felt when just about everything needs to be done online or it has a web address to visit, a coupon to print out…the list goes on and on. My goal is to actually have some information that will help them become “computer savvy.”
My FIRST bit of advice is DO NOT BE AFRAID!
